Why Is Renewable Energy Needed?

The answer is far reaching. In short, renewable energy is better for the environment. Every day we consume energy from a wide variety of sources. An increasing amount of energy comes from renewable sources. Replacing non-renewable energy with energy from renewable sources has many benefit. One major issue to address is water scarcity, that in its various forms is one of the biggest threats to human health, to progress, prosperity, and social stability. Every twenty seconds, somewhere on this planet, another child dies of waterborne disease or sanitation-related illnesses. Over 2.6 billion people lack access to clean water and basic sanitation today. More people have a mobile phone than a toilet. And water scarcity, caused by man-made desertification and climate phenomena like El Niño/La Niña, is by no means limited to the Global South. In the state of Texas for example, the 2011 drought was the worst on record, affecting 25 million people, killing 500,000,000 trees, and exceeding 6 billion USD in damage. The global grand total of water-related damages can only vaguely be estimated, and as we speak US is facing serious droughts in many states, and the worst part is, that this will occur over and over again !

EAWC Technologies has the technology, securing people fighting back these ongoing battles with the environnent.

Why Do We Need Renewable Energy?

When people ask 'why do we need renewable energy' they also often wonder what types of renewable or sustainable energy sources there are. Renewable energy comes from a variety of sources. These includes solar power, wind power and most important producing fresh water at the same time ! Solar power is a popular form of renewable energy. Solar panels can be used to provide electricity on a small scale to homes to supplement the electricity supply from the national grid or can be used to power whole towns Many forms of energy that we have grown dependent on are from non-renewable energy sources. This means that when the energy has been consumed, the supply has gone and cannot be replaced. An example of this is coal. Coal is known as a fossil fuel and is the largest source of energy for the generation of electricity worldwide. When coal has been mined and burnt, it cannot be replaced. Finding alternative energy sources, ideally from renewable sources, will decrease our dependency on fossil fuels and other non-renewable energy sources. Some examples of these green Technologias are:
The long term benefit to the environment has to be taken into consideration when considering why renewable energy is so important. Renewable energy sources will help to reduce the dependency on non-renewable supplies, such as fossil fuels, and this will help produce sustainable energy options for generations to come.
